Give Away REVEAL #2

Aloha Give Away Click HERE for details
I wish I could have boxed up some sunshine and sent it to all you snow bunnies and ice princesses yesterday. We slurped a shaved ice and photographed turtles. Since I can't box sunshine, endangered species or shaved ice I picked up this instead to add to the Aloha Give Away..
LI HING POWDER
uuuummmmm WHAT is THAT?!
It is ground plum extract, salt and Licorice
Okay. Now what do I doooo with it?!
Just sprinkle it on fresh pineapple or star fruit. It is so tasty.
OR
use it on the rim of your favorite Margarita instead of salt
OR
Try this Li Hing Margarita Recipe
***Margarita and fresh fruit not included

OAHU TRAVEL TIP:
There is a famous place to go in Haleiwa for shaved ice. Many celebrities have been known to kick back there. THIS is not THAT place. THAT place is nice but always crowded and they give wooden spoons. I don't like wooden spoons (I know. I know. I'm just odd). THIS place is called AOKI'S
and is just down the road from the famous place. We love it and the women that work there are always so sweet and adorable. There is rarely a line and always a seat on the bench with a great view of the picturesque church.

I ♥ Hawai'i. Well, I've only been to Oahu, but I loved it all.

Happy Wordful Wednesday. My entry today is one part cats, and other goodie tidbits from an alphabet challenge. Won't you stop by and say hi?

Mmmmmm...shaved ice! I've heard all about it from my braggy family members. I think I'm the only one in my family who hasn't yet been to Hawaii. Maybe one day...a girl can dream, right?

Ummmmm! I love Margarita's. Hope I win, so I can make this one. Thanks for the contest.

I am so jealous. We are completely iced in. Does it ever get "old" living in paradise?
I would like to hug that turtle.

That stuff sounds good! And shaved ice...I can get that stuff off of my car this morning. Probably won't taste as good, but it's free. ;) Maybe I could try putting that powder on it and see what that tastes like.

I love licorice and margartias so this would be perfect for me.

((I'm a little confused about the contest, though. Do we enter on the original post, or each post?))

And, I love Shaved ice..can't find them here anywhere!

mmmm. I just used up the last of my Kona Coffee my Mother in Law sent me.

She lives in Hawaii for half of the year.

I feel so badly for all the people having to endure the snow and freezing temps. It is going to be 80 here today.

I love that turtle pic! Beautiful...
Hubs ALWAYS said we would take a rotator out there, but he deployed to Iraq twice, then we left. Dang the luck! Someday maybe. My mom lived there when she was 18, said she had a blast.

You sure know how to keep a girl dreaming sunshine. Thanks Jen for sharing paradise with us snowbunnies.

Ohhhh...Margaritas! Love a good margarita. Even if it does come to me from Hawaii instead of me going to it in Hawaii. A girl can't be too picky can she?

OK- I still want to win, but I have to be honest...we tried the Li Hing powder on some sliced mango and I was not a fan. I did, however love the shaved ice!!

I have NEVER heard of that. Sounds really interesting! I'd love to try the Margarita...after I deliver this baby, of course :-)
