Ladybug, Ladybug!

That is not just a ladybug in her hands. Beneath the ladybug, past the dirt under her nails and snuggled in the cracks of her skin is the future. The future is just like a tiny winged thing. It can not be grasped, manipulated or pinned down. It must rest in cupped palms, free to fly away.

Beautifully put. I believe that a parents roll is to give that precious child a good sturdy set of wings in which to fly away with. Its sad but fulfilling all at the same time.
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.

What a beautiful picture and matching description. My daughter loves ladybugs too. We just don't have many here in SoCal. :(
