Breastfeeding Christmas Tree Ornament

Sculptures by Artist, Elizabeth Bonita, are also available in similar style tree ornaments.
I can not think of a more appropriate place to display and celebrate motherhood. Each member of our family chooses their ornament each year. As we hang them we remember when and why we choose each one. I hope to add a custom created ornament from Elizabeth to our collection very soon. I will tell my youngest, "I choose this ornament because this was the last Christmas you were latched to me body and soul. I choose this ornament because being a mother to you and your sister is the greatest thing I have ever done". I really believe breastfeeding mothers created from paint, clay and wood can help show that the flesh and blood mother is just as beautiful and worthy of celebration. Thank you Elizabeth for creating such a beautiful work of art and making a bold statement by displaying such a proud mother. Ohhh I love that ornament and the body and soul. My last one was attached until almost 3 yrs and I cried for a week when she decided to stop. Nothing better in the whole world than breastfeeding your baby.

I wish I had taken more pictures of mine breastfeeding. Nothing more beautiful than a baby breastfeeding.

Aww I'm almost in tears as I read thru your blog I'm nursing my youngest and the longest one to nurse in our home, she turned 19mo yesterday and shows no signs of wanting our alone and bonding time to end. I love this ornament. Thanks soo much for sharing it with us.
